Dr. Dilshad Dayani is an international leadership educator, strategic communication expert, award-winning journalist, author, mediator, and social impact strategist with more than three decades of professional experience in education, media, diplomacy, and community development. She serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University’s Teachers College, where she teaches courses related to strategic communication, leadership, adaptive negotiation, and global engagement. Dr. Dayani is also the Founder and President of the World Women Global Council (WWGC), an international platform dedicated to advancing women’s leadership, education, and social impact initiatives worldwide. Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Dayani has collaborated with the United Nations community, the U.S. Department of State, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and civic leadership networks. She previously served as the Founding Vice President of Advocacy for the U.S. National Committee for UN Women (Dallas Chapter) and has been actively engaged in initiatives promoting gender equality, intercultural understanding, and citizen diplomacy. As an award-winning broadcast journalist, she produced and hosted more than 400 television and radio programs focused on leadership, diversity, immigrant integration, family empowerment, and social development. Her work has contributed significantly to building bridges between cultures and strengthening community engagement through effective communication and education. Dr. Dayani has received numerous national and international recognitions for her contributions to leadership, civic engagement, women’s empowerment, and immigrant community advocacy, including the Obama’s Immigrant Journey Award for Professional Excellence (2015). In addition to her academic and public service work, she is a certified mediator, leadership coach, and mindfulness educator who regularly speaks at international conferences, leadership forums, and educational institutions around the world. Dr. Dayani was an invited speaker at the Cultural Diplomacy, Conflict Resolution & Global Peace Forum, organized by the Canadian Center for Cultural Diplomacy (CCCD) on May 31, 2025, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She also served as a speaker at the international Masterclass on Global Governance: Secrets of Effective Communication, Modern Protocol and Etiquette, organized by the Canadian Center for Cultural Diplomacy (CCCD) on June 1, 2025, at the Civic Hotel, Autograph Collection by Marriott Bonvoy in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
